On November 6, Massachusetts' citizens will Vote on a ballot program that will legalize medicinal marijuana. The measure allows individuals with glaucoma and chronic ailments That create severe discomfort to purchase marijuana possessing a doctor's written recommendation, at designated shops.
With the election just weeks away, we turned to the younger generation for their input
Almost every young person interviewed agreed, while some qualified their answers to feature a well-regulated system with good administration. This is certainly a clear direction young people are taking in America. Nobody stated "legalizing drugs will ultimately have a negative effect on the nation". People are realizing that medical marijuana is not "evil", but instead a medication that can be used to treat very severe illnesses.
Younger generations don’t evaluate medical marijuana as something that is bad or useless, but as something that can be very helpful if it’s done right.The stigma mounted on marijuana, even medicinal marijuana, is recognized largely by individuals who have been born prior to the hippie generation ( before the 1960's). Those born after don’t see a preconception of medical marijuana, they tend to see more of an opportunity to be compassionate. As a result we can conclude that is up to the younger generation in America to make a stand to decriminalize marijuana at the federal level and make it legal for medical purposes.
